Request a listing or a correction

Correct a fact or a price

Send an email with these four things. Anything shorter takes longer to process.

1. The address of the page, copied from the browser.
2. The line that is wrong, copied exactly as it appears.
3. What it should say instead.
4. A public page that shows it. Your pricing page, your documentation, your terms.

A correction with a public source behind it is applied, and the check date on that page is updated to the day of the change. You do not need to prove who you are: the source does that work.

What will not be changed

• A fact that is accurate and sourced, because it is unflattering.
• A price that is correct at the date shown, because it has since changed. Send the new price instead and it will be listed with a new date.
• The wording of a one-line description, unless it is inaccurate. The descriptions are written here on purpose, so that every entry reads the same way.
• The line "not documented publicly", unless you point to the public page that documents it.

Add a tool

Send the following. A listing is written from public pages, so the more of the product is public, the faster it goes.

1. The name and the address of the official site.
2. The address of the pricing page, or a sentence saying the price is not public.
3. Which platforms the product actually writes to or reads from, and the page that documents that.
4. The documentation or help centre, if there is one.
5. A logo file, SVG or PNG with a transparent background. Optional. Without one, the listing shows a plain monogram.

Sending this does not buy a listing, a position or a description. Nothing on this site is for sale. If a product is added, it is described the same way as every other, including the parts that are missing from its site.

Ask for a removal

A removal is considered when the product no longer exists or is no longer available to new customers. Say which, and give the public page that shows it. A page whose facts are accurate is not removed on request.
